SUMMARY:Beginner Quilting Class (for ages 14 and up) - Tuesdays April 14th\, 21st\, 28th\, & May 5th from 1pm - 4pm
DESCRIPTION:Stop in or call to sign up for this free class at the library\, where you will learn how to make a beautiful 12″ patchwork quilted potholder / hot pad to take home with you.  The class is limited to 5 participants ages 14 and up.  This is a 3-hour class each week over 4 weeks (4 classes to complete one pot holder). \nParticipants will receive a new beginner’s quilting book to keep.  All supplies for the class are provided.  It is optional to bring if you have them: 18″ x 24″ rotary cutting mat\, 45mm rotary cutter\, 6.5″ x 24″ cutting ruler\, sewing machine in good working order with extra needles\, 1/4″ foot highly recommended\, scissors\, seam ripper\, pins\, thimble\, and hand sewing needles. \nLearn: \n\nAccurate & safe rotary cutting\nSewing an accurate 1/4″ seam allowance\nPiecing quilt blocks & pressing\nLayering potholder pieced top\, batting\, and backing\nQuilting the layers\nBinding the potholder
